Wayne Plummer

Board Member 

Wayne is currently General Manager – Technical Services at Enviro NZ Services Ltd. Wayne has been involved in the waste industry in New Zealand since 1991 and has held various board and executive roles with numerous waste and recycling related businesses over this period.

Wayne has Science and Chemical Engineering degrees from the University of Auckland. After spending his formative years in the chemical manufacturing sector, Wayne moved into the environmental sector in 1996 when he founded ChemWaste Industries Ltd; a specialist liquid and hazardous waste collection, treatment and disposal business. He has vast experience in the management of trade and industrial waste and understands the importance of treatment of liquid wastes to protect wastewater infrastructure, the community, staff and the environment.

Wayne spent 10 years on the Liquid and Hazardous Waste Sector Group of WasteMINZ until its move to the NZ Trade and Industrial Waters Forum. Wayne was a board member of WasteMINZ from 2015 until 2023 and was Chair from 2019. He brings experience in general governance, fiscal management, and strategic planning from his time at WasteMINZ, and looks forward to being a  valuable member of the NZTIWF board.
