Gary Soper 

Junior Vice-President, Board Member

Gary Soper originally qualified as a fitter welder until he moved to the dark side (wastewater) where he has worked for several Councils and Council business units as a Plant Technician.

He has held the role of Trade Waste Officer with the New Plymouth District Council for 14 years and his work has centred around all aspects of Trade Waste management. Gary finds that the most important part of his role is being able to work with industry to find the best solutions and outcomes for both the consent holders and the Council.

Gary looks forward to the coming together of regions under the Affordable Water Reform and the commonality it will bring to like-minded trade waste officers.
